Well, the problem's fixed after $1,386.11. So, I start the drive back up to ND on the 12th at about noon. get about 20 miles from my moms and it starts again. Said the heck with it and turned around. Being as I've spent a lot of money driving all the way down to houston I'm BROKE. Unfortunately I had to break down and ask my mom for a loan. Took it to the dealership at about 1:30 on the 12th. Explained to the service tech that I Absolutely had to be back in ND by 5:00 am on the 15th and that it would be about a 30 hour drive, so I needed them to have it done asap. Asked the service tech to give me a call within the hour to let me know if they'd be able to even take a look at it that day. Went home, took a nap and woke up at 4:30 with no calls on my cell. Called and talked to the Asst. Mgr. explained my sit. again and he said he'd make it their first priority in the morning and that they'd know something by 9:00 am. Next morning I go up there in person and talk to him. One of the techs had just gotten done getting it up to temp and it hadn't overheated. Like i had told the incompitent jack-ass that had forgot to call me: "it only heats up on the highway after about 10-15 mins" Said he'd take it out on the freeway personally in a lil while. And he'd call me back about lunch time. Got the call at about 12:30 saying that he shot the radiator with a temp gun and got numbers saying that there was blockage and I needed a new one. Also said that my belts were almost shot and that the water pump had a minor leakage from the bottom. So i went ahead and had them replace that also. They had it done at about 6:00pm on the 13th and i left Houston at about 7:00pm. Drove straight through to ND with my motorcycle in the bed and my wifes Golf on a tow dolly. Didn't do too bad on gas either. Averaged about 14 mpg's. at an avg. speed of about 57 mph. Total drive took me 27 hrs

Good to see you got it fixed. Radiator blockage? I guess someone dumped some leak stop in there some time or other.

I'm thinking it's because it sat up the past two winters in freezing temps and the calcium deposits and other sediments from the tap water settled to the bottom. Winter of '05 was partially my fault, didn't drive or start it as much as I shoulda. Last winter was all my wifes' fault. She might have started it twice while I was in Iraq.
