Here's my Cal Tracs and I love them! They took 4 hours to install with the machine work on the drop hangers. You'll have to remove about 1" - 1 1/2" of metal if you have Bell Tech hangers.

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind. I've been busy helping a friend with his outlaw 10.5 so not much time for any fab work at the moment. Once we get him back on the track I'll see what I can come up with. Pressing the damn spring bushing out was the hardest task of the install.

I think it's important to point out here that the Cal-tracs won't work w/ a flip-kit! I'm sure there are a lot of guys on here that are lowered and into the weeds! I have a 6/7 drop myself and I'm looking for some type of setup to help in the rear w/ wheel hop! Anyone in the same boat and figured anything out?
98 GMC ext cab, 02 LS1, Nelson Tune, S&P headers, cutouts, underdrive pulleys, LS6 intake w/ 85 mm intake, 6/7 drop, 20x10 MB wheels, shift kit w/ servo, 3.42 rear w/ true-trac
Calvert Racing(caltracs) has a kit for the flip kitted 6" GM drops. They also have a mod they do to the 2" drop hangers to make their caltracs work on lowered vehicles. I have seen many trucks with a flip and caltracs at the dragstrip.

When I had my rear end apart on my lowered truck, I welded the tubes to the pig, installed an Eaton Posi unit, ground everything baby smooth, sand-blasted everything(brakes, individual leaf-springs, etc.), and then sent it all to the powder-coater. Oh...and I also welded on recievers to the bottom of my rear-end to accomodate new fabricated nickel-plated, adjustable heim joint, torsion bars going forward to the frame rails. You could go this same route. But those Cal-whatevers look sweet.
