Only if it was so dirty it was clogging up the filter.
Or if the debris was causing the valve body to not function properly. The lockup of the convertor is primarily controlled by an external electronic switch valve that may be going out. It's a matter of dropping the pan, removing a couple bolts, cutting the TCC solenoid wires and re-installing a new unit if it is going out.

Well lets hope that it all keeps gooing good for now. My Mechanic didnt want to change my filter, he said he didnt think it needed it. Thanks for all the help.
