Is the transmission the same on my 03 truck as the one on my 2001 Camaro?

I was wondering if I could swap the trannys so I can keep my stall and servo....

They have about the same mileage (my truck - 60k / Camaro - 70k)

do they both have the 4l60e?

Would it be a direct swap out?

nope, not the same. Internally, yes, Externally, no. Different bell housing and input drum. Different convertors. Bolt pattern on the bell housing is way different on the V6 Camaro engine.

    Alright thanks man...

So it would probably be best in the long run to just upgrade the tranny or get built one correct?

The 4L60e in the camaro is plenty strong for the V6 engine. Don't waste money on it. Save the funds for your swap or for modding your Dad's truck when you get it. Start you a performance build savings account for the day you finally get to start doing mods.
