Thread: Made my first write with HPT today!

Hybrid View

Well, I decided to make a few changes and make my first write to the PCM! Here's some screen shots of the changes.

Vehicle specs are: 2007 GMC Sierra Denali, 6.2l L92, 6L80E, 3.42s...everything is stock.

I disabled all of the TM master switches for the trans.

and I lowered the PE Delay RPM from 5000 to 0 and raised the PE enrich rate from 0.05 to 2.0 (Suggestion from HPTs forum).

and I also zeroed out the A/C torque reduction table

It pulls a lot harder now and it doesn't seem to fall flat on it's face near as bad between shifts either. Am I on the right track? What other changes should I make?

the best thing you can do it read up on HPTuner's website and post questions there for tuning. There are a lot of us with HPT but many are like me and have just begun to scratch the surface on it's abilities. My best investment for tuning so far has been a wideband to go with the HPT software.

So is there any way that I can only remove some of the TM? I re-enabled the up-shift TM and the power down shift TM because the engine would sometimes rev between shifts and almost slam into the next gear.

I'm surprised you're not complaining about a harsh 2-1 downshift while coming to a stop.

You disabled the CT downshift and that normally makes a harsh downshift while rolling slow. If not, no biggy, just thought I'd let you know.

It does do that every now and then. I'll re-enable it. Thanks for the heads up man!

I sure wish I would have waited a week or two to buy the software so that I could have bought it from you
