Thread: 3.73 vs. 4.10's

  1. #1
Posting this up for a friend...

Ok I am in the process of upgrading to a new rear end in the everlasting quest for traction. First off what rear ends is everyone using and why. I have heard good things of the eaton posi, detroit trutrac and auburn diff. What would be most suited for my application, Going for street truck and ocassional 4, to 5 times a year to the 1/4 mile track. Second would I see any difference in changing from 3.73's to 4.10's, and is it worth the swap?

You will lose traction going to a 4.10 vs 3.73 because the engine will have an easier time turning the tires. I like the Auburn, personal preference.
