Mudding is fun until it comes time to clean it up. Imagine 3 hours of cleaning afterwards and you can't really do it in your driveway because then you'd have to dispose of the clumps of mud and it sometimes stains your undercarriage and it's even harder to get clean. I loved offroading but sand cleans out so much easier. As nice as your truck looks, you'd be sick the first time you trashed out the offroad truck or got mud in the interior.

Yeah, mudding is next on the list behind haulin ass. Up until now, I have had 4WD trucks, and I went a few (hundred) times... Red is right--it's all fun and games until you have to spend $15 at the coin-op wash place. Just make sure you wear some clothes you don't care about. When you are done washing off 3 acres of mud, you end up with 1 acre on your clothes, 1 acre on the ground, and the last acre in your eyes

After 4 transmission swaps, 3 engine swaps and 2 converter swaps I have FINALLY gotten all the mud off the undercarriage of my truck. The framerails are still stained red from when I burried my truck up to the molding in good ole east TX red clay in Alto. I dont see myself doing that again. The best trick that I have found to getting the mud off is as soon as you get home throw one of those old wand style sprinklers underneath it and leave it over night. I get some felt board from some job sites at work and put that at the end of the driveway to filter all the mud out and keep it from going in the street then the next morning scoop up all the mud with a square head shovel and wash the driveway down and dump the felt board in the dumpster at work. It works pretty well and is free for me. When you go mudding in just plain mud its fun but when you gomudding in a field with grass thats when it really gets fun.

There is also a spray you can apply to the truck before mudding called mud release or something like that. Modifieds use the stuff at the dirt tracks so the cars don't get so grimey.
