Thread: Bad News

    Well everything was going good today at work, steady not too busy...Dad tells me hows my truck running and doing? I said, "Good, Im getting the dents fixed, doing some interior remodeling, etc." He said "Your not going to upgrade the motor or put a bigger Engine in are you? I said Im planning on it but not for a while. He said Well, a guy your age shouldnt have something like that and Since I payed for your truck I dont want anything to happen to it. You can upgrade the V6 if you want but thats why I put you on a V6.

    I just sunk after that..I really dont want to piss him off and everything..Another thing is Ive worked soo hard on my truck getting it the way it is and I dont want to get rid of it...EVER...My mom even said next year as a belated grad present she promised like a 05-06 v6 Mustang for me. I mean its really good I dont have anything against mustangs..I just want to keep my truck and make it a hot rod..I can pay insurance on both thats not a problem, I have a clean record..

    But I dont know how long I would keep my truck or how far it will go...

    I was thinking today about it, and Ive heard people wanting to see a turbo charged V6 and how it would be pretty cool to see one...Theres not too many around...I mean I could upgrade it to that..and I like being "the different one" if you know what I mean.....All I have left to do is do the gears and LSD which Im doing sometime this month for sure haha....I also PMed Allen to see if he could do it, and what not.

    Im loving the new nelson tune it made my truck run soo much better and quicker...Its the best thing Ive done to my truck..also the Vette servo haha

    I just really want to see my truck go far, dont want to leave the truck racing scene being around you guys, I dont want to make my dad mad, and I dont wanna wait about 4 years just to MABYE get a V8 in...






    what do you guys think?

    I mean from his own view, I would want my 19 yr old son to be safe too...But you know I have the sense enough to keep it safe on the streets, and watch for others, etc.

    I just dont know what to do...It would be so cool to turbo charge the V6 and possibly do some other mods to the engine as well.....But I wish I could just go with the V8....and by getting a quieter muffler wont work because hes not that dumb and used to do the same stuff when he was my age...Hell when he was my age he had a 73' corvette all badass and everything..

    well from what you posted or mentioned you said (You can upgrade the V6 if you want but thats why I put you on a V6.
    ) i see a door still open or well he would like for you to keep the v6 in but if you go to v8 it would be ok also. like leaving you an option to make your own mind up... not to persuade you to go behind your parents back since they did buy the truck but just saying what i read ...

    p.s. on a side note sorry to hear that bro!!! sounds like youre cuaght between a hard palce and a rock ..

    ask him if you can do the v8 swap if you only run it on 6 cylinders

    How do you do that? Would it be a hassle..I just dont think he wants swapping done either..He wants it bolted right to the frame

    no man you can&#39;t..im sorry didn&#39;t mean to side track you...it was suposed to make you laugh...turbo v6 could be a pretty cool project though...

    haha I thought so..I was like uhh...Isnt that bad?

    Yeah I mean Like I said above I love being different and I havent seen one turbocharged truck like mine...AT ALL.....it would be sweet&#33; and do some upgrading to the engine as well...Im going with the looks department right now big time...got a roll pan on the way....and so much more...

    and once I graduate College, Im sure Ill be able to get that mutha &*^%&#036; 6.0 in haha...


    Can Allen do it though? It would probably have to use the smaller turbo like the 4.8 has to...

    I have the solution for you, a dual stage NOS kit . 1st stage 75HP and 2nd stage 100HP more.
