How?
How?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(DamnYankee @ May 4 2007, 08:58 AM) </div>A certain type of scanner must be plugged into the OBD-II port and and certain steps must be taken to do the procedure. I have heard that it can take up to 45 minutes to do it, but after I installed my cam, the CEL came on and I had a relearn done--it took like 3 minutes. It's not a big deal, you just have to know someone who has a scanner...How?

Ohhh Billllyyyyyyyyyy.....
You need a TECH II scanner, or if you're very lucky a friend who works at your local GM dealer.
I heard HPTuner is supposed to be able to do the relearn.

You can do it in HPT, here's the instructions from the scanner help file...
Do this in the "VCM Controls" "special" tab
CASE Learn: To use the CASE learn function please follow these steps:
Put the vehicle into park (auto) or neutral (manual).
Turn off all accessories and A/C.
Apply the parking brake.
Press the brake pedal. Keep the brake pedal depressed during the entire procedure.
Press Begin.
Gradually rev the vehicle to fuel cutoff (around 4000-5000 RPM's) over a period of about 4 seconds. When fuel cuts out, immediately release the throttle.
Allow the engine to come back to an idle.
Turn the ignition off for at least 15 seconds. This step is required for the VCM to store the newly learned configuration.

Sounds easy enough...I'll have to see if Virgil is game. He couldn't remember how to do it when I asked him earlier.
