I do spray it off once a month or so, yes. I sure hope that's the problem.

Is pulling the intake a big deal?

Not really. FWIW, if you need a new harness they are cheaper to buy the complete knock sensor harness than it is to buy replacement ends. I just bought one a few minutes ago for $22. One connector was $17.

Dang - not bad. Where from? I might take a stab at the intake tonight and see if the connections look corroded.

    Thanks for the help Greg.

Yeah, intake isn't that bad of a project. Try and remove it when you get about 1-2 hrs. time. Once you have it off, you will be able to tell of the wiring is faulted/corroded. I know that 1-2 hrs is a lot of time to spend on finding out if the knock sensors is the problem, but you will spend atleast that amount driving around trying to find out what the problem is...

I bought it at the dealership. Just buy it under your company's name and usually they will give you 20% off the list price. Be sure you tell them that you pay tax or the feds will be looking up your boss.

That's be awesome if that fixed the problem. I've never pulled the intake, so I might bribe Virgil into giving me a hand if he's not tied up with his stuff.

I can turn a ratchet - is there any pressurized lines or anything I need to be aware of?

The fuel rail will be pressurized. Just wrap a rag around it to catch any spillage. You'll need a fuel line tool to release the fuel fitting. 3/8" that wraps around the tube and then you push it into the connector to release it.

Having the fuel line tool is important. I tried to disconnect a fuel filter without having the tool and I screwed stuff up. The fuel line will be pressurized kinda like a 20 oz. Coke bottle that has been very slightly shaken. Nothing to fret, just keep your eyes closed and have that rag handy...

Well I talked to Virgil and I'm just going to wait til he can help me out and can walk me through it. I kind of want to do it myself so hopefully he doesn't mine schooling me for a couple of hours. Looks pretty simple.

Anyway, I got underneath again and all of the O2 sensors look fine. No wires are near the exhaust or anything. All connections look good. All ground straps are fine. The fuse is fine. I checked the foam filter at the front of the engine, and from what I can tell the top appears to be adhered somehow to the manifold, but the bottom is 'loose' - more of a pressure seal I guess. But there's a fair amount of give to it which means if I happened to spray it at the car wash, there's a very good chance water got in there and got on the knock sensors. From what I've read on LS1 tech, others have had low voltage codes and that was the problem. Hopefully that's the issue here too.
