Also take in consideration, how much power are you planning to make and what kind of power adders are you adding to it. The LS1 can take tons of abuse and additional power, but some of the boosted guys seem to lean towards the stronger iron 6L.
Most of use will never see 700hp, and I'm sure the ls1 will take it all and then some.
I say the ls1, it's lighter and it will handle anything we can throw at it.

Gas: I think I'm getting a little less mpg now that I've installed my stall and injectors. I don't think the injectors have anything to do with it, becuase you still have to keep the same a/f ratio, they are just not working as hard. I think the stall affected my mileage about 2-4mpg, but to be honest I can't seem to stay out of it. It seems everyday I'm hitting 100mph and shortening the life of my tires, lol
