Hey guys I got a tach for the truck and am not sure which pin coming out of the pcm is the tach wire. I think it is white. Is this the best place to tap into the wire or should i look for it behind the gauge cluster or something. Any advice you can give me on this install would be great....thanks for your time

I think it is whitecoming from the PCM harness and if your tach has cylinder settings you have to set it to 4 cylinder....signal is drivers side cylinders only. Google the year model truck you have and what brand tach and youll find lots of info.I got mine used, its an older one but works perfect! Hope this helps a little

ok sounds like a plan....thanks alot guys......do you guys have any pictures of your tachs mounted.....I prolly should be putting this tach in the ss instead of the truck since it is a six speed and the truck is an auto but the escalade cluster only goes to 6000....and besides that the big tach will give it some character that the ss doent need as bad!

how come I can't get my tach to work? I have it tapped into the white wire behind the cluster but nothing happens...any suggestions. This is the second tach I've tried. I've put it on every different cylinder selection

If your tach has read back and such features make sure your power wire is hooked to a good ignition source. And also that you have a good ground.
