Get Allen to build you the complete harness and save the headaches for other obstacles. The bell housing will bolt right up to the LSx engine minus one bolt hole. I believe the material is there for a bolt hole, you just have to drill and tap it. As for the cable, I honestly don't know. Lokar has a cable kit that is universal/cut to fit for the 700r4 tranny. For the price, it's worth it.
