I THINK THEY ARE ALL EMISSIONS LEGAL? THEY BOTH GO THRU THE CATS, AND THE TURBO COULD BE CONSIDERED A MUFFLER?

well i know STS has a CARB EXEMPT number on a few of their units and sevral other kits pending. i look @ Livernois/Detroit Speedworks and theirs says "**Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles - For off-road use only**" which i assuem means it will not pass im. the only other kit i can think of off the top of my head is the one from nelson performance but i didnt see anything on the site saying things one way or another.

In Fairbanks Alaska you have to go through stringent vehicle inpections and are regulated by CARB rules?

Yup, Alaska follows California emissions standards, it blows. Fortunately, it's only for the cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks. So, if you're vehicle is registered someplace else, like hypothetically at your parents house 40 miles away....

The front mount we sale isn't legal. I'm not sure if you need a carb number or just put on a 4" cat converter to satisfy them.

    good luck,

Unfortunately, he'd need a carb number. That's the reason I'll probably go with a supercharger when the time comes.

I say register it at a friend or relatives houes a few miles away that is how I get away with one of my trucks that wont pass in the metroplex. I register it at my moms house in Mineral Wells about 60 miles from here. Not only do I not have to pass emissions, but it is cheaper and all I do is show them my insurance card and they slap a sticker on it without checking anything.
