Here's a pic of my cutouts.

    Now heres the question.

Everytime I open them up, water comes out. Not a little bit but quite a bit. As soon loosen the nuts, it leaks out, almost like its been building up inside. Is the normal? Or is something wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

I'd say its normal. Most stock mufflers have a small hole to allow condensate to drain. No hole...no drain...equals water when opened.

Yeah I think it's basically acting like what's referred to as a vapor drop - on natural gas lines, before you run a length of pipe into the manifold, you put a 4" nipple pointing down. It allows any condensate to drip down in the pipe rather than enter the manifold. You've seen condensation come out the tailpipe - I think your cut-outs are just letting it pool in them rather than run out the tailpipe. Might just need to open it every couple of days and let it drain.

You probably make short drives with your truck and the exhaust isn't getting hot enough to cook all the condensation out of itself. That is why cars the drive long trips all the time usually have a nice clean exhaust system and Granny's car that only goes to the grocery store and back once a week rots the pipe off the car.

Drill a tiny hole in the lowest part and the exhaust will push the water out.

get e-cutouts and open them ever so often to let it clean itself out. sucks having to undo them manually everytime and that water doesnt sound good for those brand new pacesetters or ur exhaust system as a hole.

Your right. I do drive short distances. Work is about 5 miles from the house.
