Nope, I'm too far south for that to ring a bell. About all I know of Ohio is that Jegs or Summit is up there.

I have a 91 silverado 2500 with a 4l80e that I haven't even moved for 6 months at the least. I had it rebuilt about 10K miles ago, and it was heavy duty rebuild, because I used it for work, pulling 5thwheel trailers and such, but I'm not in that line of work any more. I wouldn't by chance be able to throw that in there, or is it to old to be compatable. I've often wondered that but figured it wouldn't work.

That's a good question. I'm not familiar with the older style 4L80Es. I didn't realize they made one that long ago. It will bolt right in with a couple of adapters, one for the crank and one for the electronics. Speed Engineering sells both if you want to do some one stop shopping. You'll need to inform your tuner if that is what you do.

I'll have to double check and make sure I am right, but Im positive that is what I was told. Who would I talk to around here to figure that out, or should I just make a new post. That thing should be good for, what 7-800hp, right. I could be pretty confident in that trans, if some time down the road I got a sc (or turbo) which are my long term goals, if the next year is good to me.
