Couldn't resist any longer, finally broke down and bought a last chance 2007 Crew Cab NBS while we're trying to figure out what to call the 2007+ body styles. It's a 4.8L for fuel mileage and it's the family vehicle so no performance mods. I might even get to drive it every once in a while. Originally went to buy a Colorado but for $40 a month more we have a fullsize with lots more room. I tried to get in the back seat of a Colorado CC and had my knees in my chin. To hell with that! It was about as uncomfortable in the back seat of the Colorado as an extended cab C1500. We lined up the Colo CC, C1500 EC and a C1500 CC and I could only bring myself to buy the CC because the kids are just getting too big for the EC. Our 11 yr old girl loves the OBS truck still, loves the power and rumble. Can't say that I blame her.

see you could always disguise perf mods for "fuel savings mod"

    e-fans
    exhaust
    intake
    tune

    all could save fuel

Hell, I haven't even opened the hood on it yet. It may already have electric fans for all that I know. I'll let her decide what she wants to do to it. I think a soft tonneau cover and maybe a 2" drop on the rear may be about the extent of mods unless she asks for some wheels to go with it. All I need is another set of stock wheels laying around here in the way so I may make her at least wear out the tires first. Hell, its the first new vehicle I've owned since I bought the red 92 that was stolen. I guess I was due a new one.

That might have worked but you have a 6" bed and this one has a 5'8" bed.

Hell yeah that is a nice looking truck. HA "It's a 4.8L for fuel mileage and it's the family vehicle so no performance mods" That is a LIE.
