You can swap the carrier out and keep the stock ring and pinion set. That is how I started out and then when to the taller gear set. You will love the traction with the posi/LSD. What you do is remove the carrier and ring gear, unbolt the ring gear(LH threads), put the ring gear on the new LSD unit and bolt it to the carrier with locktite applied, set it in the housing and get a rough backlash setting with shims (slip fit) and when you have the proper backlash you add .004" more shim to both sides for case preload. After all that you just put the cover back on with a new gasket and add the fluid and additives if your LSD specifies it. My Auburn says no to synthetics and comes with an additive you have to put in the case when filling it.

There isnt one anywhere near here to my knowledge you can fit on. The ricer shops have alot of awd dynos but they the wheelbase is way too short for his truck.

You are at about 400 at the crank if not more, you got atleast 30hp from just the tune. I bet in the form its in right now its got a low 14 in it.

well if you haven't gotten dyno'd yet i'm getting a dyno tune done in cali in january after i get my pacesetters installed. by then we will have almost the same mods. i'll let you know what im putting down at the wheels. im awd too.

yeah 345 stock from the factory at the flywheel, I'd say around 380 at least. True you lose more from being AWD but gotta love traction that never fails you... ever. I wish my truck was AWD, you can do enough mods to where all that weight and drivetrain loss become less and less of an issue... if you go large enough. Kick ass truck either way, and I can tell just by driving it after the tune it's getting a lot more HP now.

Call around to the ricer shops, and see if any use a Dyna Pack dyno.

Find the guys the build up turbo deisels and you'll find an all wheel dyno. There's a place up here in Dallas but I can't remember the name of it. I've see 1200 lbs of torque registered on it with a twin turbo 4wd Cummins so I know they can handle your truck.
