Up, a little less wind resistance plus if something bad were to happen your window would work as a net to keep you and body parts inside the truck. We never believe bad things can happen to us but sometimes things happen beyond our control.

I'm no mechanical engineer, and I don't drag race, but I do work corners at road course races, and drive road course races. I'd be incredibly surprised to find out that your door windows would do anything beyond shower you with glass if something really bad happened. If I was going to drag, I think I'd go with either an actual window net (if I had a cage) or open-cockpit style arm restraints (without a cage). Absent both, the windows would be down.

I agree,... unless it was safe t glass which i know my truck is equipped with that is made to shatter but not freely fly apart because of the technology built into the glass itself. regular glass may break like that, but the safe t glass doesn't work the same way as pane glass does.

I usually like to keep just the driver side window down so I can pump my fist in the air as Im "flying" down the track at speeds well over the sound barrier. Or if I am in the right lane I can throw trash at the opposing ricer I may be racing in the lane next to me.

I t-boned a car and the side window didn't break out. It kept him inside the car though it didn't keep him alive. Just a tip guys, don't try to make a u-turn on an interstate highway by starting on the RH shoulder then making a LH turn across the median. Damn near took out our entire family.
