Thread: BOOOOOOOOOM chime in guys

1. #1
well guys went to the track last night and went to do a burnout and the stage as soon as the green light turn on i hammered it and BOOOOOOM sounds like my differential went out, cuz all you hear at the diff is glunk glunk like crushed ice but here is the weird thing is that im in park and truck is off my truck still rolls forward while pushing and when truck is on and put into drive the driveshaft spins but truck dont move. so what do you all think it could be. you know when you change your rear tires one at a time and jack up one side first, well i can spin the tire freely all the way around without stopping, not like before it would only have a tiny bit of play.

Another G80 bites the dust and takes the Ring and Pinion with it.

sounds like it spit all the teeth off the ring gear. If it was just a broekn carrier I'd think it would have some sort of grab to it. Either way you just spent a hunk'o change........
speed never killed anyone...it's that damned sudden stop at the other end.......

Isn't the G80 an Eaton produced unit?

I lost the spider gears in mine and it did the same thing. only thing that is different is that you lost the entire rearend.

It is but it's not near the strength of their aftermarket units. I did the exact same thing. I replaced it with a Detriot Truetrac.
