Well long story short I got heat once again..woohoo. I switched out my old heater core with a new one (&#036;36.55 @ advance discount auto parts) and voila..she blows hot once again. It took me and my dad about 30 minutes to complete the job which was pretty straight forward.

I took a hack saw and cut my old core in 1/2 and let me tell ya..it was full of dirty brown gunk. Reminded me of thick chocalte shake. I would have took pics, but didnt have my camera.

thats exactly what was wrong with mine about 2 years ago..it was full of dirt and stuff. we just disconnected the inlet and outlet on the fire wall and stuck a water hose in the inlet and flushed it out..
