Thumbs up

If all goes well, in the next month or so I'll be swapping out my 305 and putting in a 350 (not an LS1, but it's a big step forward). My only question is since everything is pretty much the same, except the motor, should it basically be pulling the 305 out and putting the 350 in? Because, if I'm correct, the wiring, the mounts, and the transmission are all the same that would've been used with a 350 anyway.

Depends on what 350 you are putting in. If it's not a vortec V8 it should be a straight swap.

to my knowledge the 305 is the same as the 350 except is bored out more. just like the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 is essentially the same block with different bores. itll depend on the year and stuff, but ive heard this many times. dont see any problems here tho.

Do you know what the 350 came out of originally? Vehicle and year model, please.

Like Red said as long as it is not the vortec it is a bolt in no need to modify or change all that stuff. Keep what you want off the old engine and it will bolt up on the 350.

No vehicle or year. It's a crate motor.

Which crate 350 is it? There are about 20 different 350s available from GM and Goodwrench. Not to mention those available from every other engine vendor out there such as Edelbrock, Merlin, etc....

That I do not know. I'm hoping to check the motor out this week or next week.

Another question. Does anybody have a suggestion on long tube headers that would fit this application?
