agreed. i think they look sick as hell, i wish mine had them on mine. how hard is it to chang to them later on? liek just pick up an axle from a junkyard and put it on? is there anything else thatd have to change?

I'm sure you could go that route. But I think you'll need to modify your lines and get e-brake cables from a truck with discs. You may need a prop valve or a master cylinder from a disc brake truck as well.

I heard the reason for the return to rear drums is the discs kept getting screwed up on the rear end. The ebrake would quit adjusting due to rocks, mud and dirt getting into it. They don't hardly ever have that problem with the drum brake adjusters.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709

thats weird daniel's SS has the discs and his ebrake works 10x better than mine. mine doesnt hardly do anything to hold the truck where it is.

Up here in New York the rear disc brake don't last at all. With the salt in the winter makes the rotor rust because the slides freeze up and the rear pads don't wear right. My backing plates need to be changed because thier all rotted. NY winters kill everthing. I work in a parts store and we stock 8 rear rotors and we get stock replaced every day so that just shows you that it's a piss poor design.

I heard that too... But I'd rather fix a disc brake setup a 1000x's than fix a drum brake setup once.
