Hey guys i will be puting a comp 226/226 .581/.581 on a 112LSA (just like VV8's) and comp hardened pushrods and titanium retainers on my 02 5.3. So i thought while i was in there i could install some Roller Rockers, but have no clue about what to go with. I will be using stock heads and valve covers as well. I love the way the Harland Sharp design looks and they say you can gain 15-40HP on there website? I just wanted to get as much done while i have the top end torn down.

All opinions and technical information welcomed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Brent

Unless your valve train can handle the extra lift, stay with the 1.7s. If you change to 1.8s your lift will go up to .615, not necessarily able to be handled by normal springs such as 918s..

Do you think i would get the 15HP, because i found some Harland Sharps on EBAY for $400.
What about the brand. Comp or Harland.

If it were you what would you go with?

They are both first quality. I like the stainless Comps but the Harlans are very popular. They are used all over on LS1TECH.

Good deal, i love the harland sharp look, but i have all other comp components. i figured the Comp items will work better together.

    thanks Red

Frees up a few ponies plus they save wear and tear on the valvetrain.

You'll see a bit of power on the high end. I'd do them if you're out of other mods. Stick with 1.7:1s as said, larger can go over lift and/or wreak havok due to some ramp rates.
