Its been 3 years sittin.... Im from Virginia near richmond and Va beach. I built this truck in 2000 and ran for several years adding mod after mod along the way. She was the talk around here when she started running in the low 13s. At the time that was pretty quick for the new Gen trucks.. I went from the 5.3 to a 6.0 litter block when the pistons started slappin. @ the tim I had Nick augostino set up the block for me.
He was popular at that time with the LS1s.

I continued running with the Whipple Supercharger w/ 6lbs boost. No intercooler avail. at the time so we ran a .50 shot of gas just befor the thottle body. Built a Dana 60 after turning 10 bolt into Applesause on a hard Launch. Running 4.56 gears. Modified 4L60 with front Drive shaft removed .. Yes shes 4wd.. Tow hooks still stick out the bumper.... She went to rest about 3 yrs ago after breaking a few valve springs and destroying a couple rockers and got put on the back burner.. I also have a 68 prostreet Z-28...

Well I started collecting parts for the rebirth and Im back at work on her again...

New Heads 243 castings stage 3 from Pro Ports
New valve train/Comp Roller and Comp R Lifters
6.0 ltr 2002 LX intake
New stall
We gonna crank up the boost this time too
And we also hope to use EFive Alive for Tunning as well.

Sounds like a badass setup. What adjustable rockers are you going to run ( since you opted for the compR lifters)?

You ask that question and Made me go to my parts ben to make sure what I have. Im using the comp LS1 1.75 Rocker kit w/ 5/16 guide plates. The lifters are cso-e "R" series. I dont belive this setup will be adjustable. Should not be with Hydralics anyway. These are not solid lifters. I did not want to be adjusting nightmares w/ solid lift and having to take the supercharger off to get to the Pass. side.

CompR lifters require only about .007" preload compression on the plunger. From what I understand, you are supposed to use adjustable rockers on them so you don't exceed the designated preload. Many people buy the 875 lifters and fail to buy the correct adjustable rockers. I bought the 850 lifters specifically so that I don't have to adjust them.
