Thread: AT last I saw a HEMI

    Really the battery relocation did nothing for me at the time I did it.. I have to mention it cause someone always calls me on it if I forget it... and when I ran the 13.92 on street tires, that was NO TRACTION in that combo whatsoever... I had to leave the line @ idle with a slow feather on the throttle or smoke them all the way down the track.. leavin the line with that technique netted me a 2.05 60'... and the drag radials.. well the best I have ever got with them was a 2.07 60' ( there is one exception when the density altitude was - 700 ft and it did manage a 1.948... but only that once with a negative DA )
    A bunch of suspension mods??? well my homebuilt traction device is a reverse pinion snubber that did not do much for me until I upped the HP out of the hole with the bottle, I managed a 1.827 on the 35 shot...
    and the Comp Engineering shocks ... less than $50 for the pair...

    it is true the cheap and free mods are the best... my CAI did not do much for overall power but I can now hotlap the truck at the strip and not lose time due to heat soak... fact is the longer I run the truck the faster it goes...
    Most of the mods that I have done will have no effect till the bottle comes into play..... I could have run the 13s with just the weight redux, tires, wire pull, and CAI.... but I really can't claim that as the truck was not setup that way.

    It does say in his sig he had tires, and seriously spring clamps? I put them on my truck and saw no change what so ever on my 60s as have many others. I was specifically talking about the two guys up in Waco or whatever with ss and blown tranny dude. They both came off with BS flags saying no way when I said I saw it.     I didnt call you a damn liar. Chill out man. And everyone that knows me knows that im an easy going, nice to know guy. I just called BS on a stock hemi with a supershit running in the 13&#39;s. I kinda know from experience. Just dorp it if your gonna get all tittybabbied about it. Damn.

I think the way Dodge Advertises the mighty HEMI it should be faster&#33;&#33; Shame on them, The old School Hemi was where it was at, i bleed chevrolet but i do respect the old hemi, the cars it came in though were fuggin ugly&#33;&#33;&#33;

    Back to track on this post, my truck manage 12.85 on his nattural trim..LOL

    That is 20" with 295/50/20 that score a 30" diameter, 3.73 cogs and a really old Tranny, 400.000+km on it. (overhauling it soon, just HitmanX always send me searching for post all over the net, insteed giving me info, he like it to make u suffer)

    Launched in 4wd and changed to 2wd in a sec. No spare tire. Haven&#39;t used the nitrous yet cause I have a tune issued an a really ugly lean bank&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; and the Calibration is bouncing from odd to worse.

    Allen is working on that, just have to solve a few leaks here an there.

    I post a video against a hard modded subbie and a mild modded viper. Very close to them. HAd no tailgate for that race

    With a good tune, I&#39;ll can take the viper, and on NOS I&#39;m sure the subie will be Sushi&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

    DOnt belive what oyu read in motor trend, hot rod, sport turck, truckin, etc. 90% of the time they are off on their info. I have personally seen two bone stock rcsb HEMIs run 14.8s and 14.9s all day long I inspected them too they didnt even have the tmr mod to trans done. It can only be done on the 03s one of the guys did it and turned a 14.6 the next pass, this was in good air and a LOW D/A at HRP last BNovember. A budy of mine in HS had an 03 rcsb with a superchips programmer, no cats, exhaust, CAI, tmr mod, and drag radials, he turned 13.7, not too bad IMO, havent talked to him in about 2 years so I dont know what its running now.

    Seriously though, is it that hard for some of you to believe these trucks can run 14s stock in a rcsb form? Hell, our little rcsb 5.3L trucks have been doing it for years. Now you start talking 11-12 second all motor hemis, and I will have to call you a liar&#33;

    See, its just as hard for me to believe you ran 12.85 ON MOTOR with 20s, 3.73s, and ahhhhhh, oh yeah.....4x4&#33;

    Hell, my 2wd 6.0L scsb has only run a 12.40 on motor on mt et streets, and you have to weigh a good bit more than my truck. I didn&#39;t say you didn&#39;t run the times, its just alittle difficult to believe.

    Exactly that was my question to Mr. Nelson.

    I had another truck 2WD with the same mods and 125HP NOS, ran it with 335/35/17 hoosier drag radials traslante 25" diameter and 4.11 cogs with GM posi.

    Besi time 12.56 with nos and 12.86 on motor.

    Dont know what will be the difference in this truck besides it"s bored the thrid life

    i guess ur truck is feather weith with that box and probably roll pan mine is all work truck

    now I know why I did not change to that engine

    Good healthy cam replace those inches hahahaha
