I was referring to the other guys who were directly calling me a liar basically. There is a whole world of difference between an rc and ec ram. Not to mention some of these guys probably didnt run at teh best track in North America which just so happens to Houston Raceway Park home of NEGATIVE D/As and I bet half the guys dogging me dont have a clue what that is till they google it![]()

Hell let me put 11 second 1/4 in my sig. Just because its their do you think people are going to believe me? No. Im not saying a hemi cna run in the 13's but a basically bone stock hemi wont even be near that even with the supershit chip...OK guys you caught me Im lying![]()
I could give a shit less if any of you believe me. I know what I have seen and thats all that matters to me. IIRC the guy that I posted a link to has a video of his truck Ill pm him with a link to this thread and see what he says.
Wow I really didnt think would come outright and call me a liar but whatever :flipoff:

Re-read my post I said I personally SAW the truck run the time thats why Im taking it as you calling me a liar, has nothing to do with disagreeing. What he has in his sig is legit. You are right it wont run a 13 with just a superchips, but with the tune, tires, and intake it will for a good one. There are some HEMIs that are just dogs and dont run worth a shit for no apparent reason.
Do you not see raising the BS flag on what I said could be taken you calling me a liar?

There seems to be a lot of misconception here about Hemis... I am the guy that 1slow01z71 posted the link to on PT.net. First off let me say my truck's engine is totally stock down to the full factory exhaust. The only exception is my Home Depot CAI. There was nothing available in tunes when I purchased the Superchips. While we all know Superchips is not much of a tune, what IS gained by it is the reduction of Torque Management... I have run back to back tests at Houston Raceway Park to the tune of 7 tenths!!! on my 03 2wdrsbc.... now you can pull out the flame thrower all any of you want.... I have timeslips posted on DTW. The tuner was only really worth 2 tenths on the basis of tune alone as I was able to cut the wire to reduce the TM which was able to gain 5 tenths... My truck stock w/20s weighed in at 4920 race weight w/1/4 tank of gas and ran 15.40ish. which is one reason most Hemis get laughed at... they weigh a ton and have so MUCH TM it is pathetic. Stock Hemis w/ 20s are easy pickins.... That being said.... my truck has run 13.92@96.20 on Nitto 450/45/17 street tires at a 4760# raceweight. with the following mods:
Weight reduction: roll pan w/ removal of tow frame ( 130 lbs ), spare 20 (92 lbs ) and tailgate.
battery to bed relocation
homemade traction device @ spring clamps
homemade CAI
Superchips
Eagle Allow 8 inch 17s with the above mentioned tires
Comp Engineering Drag Shocks
sway bar disconnected but not removed
full Factory Exhaust.... man do I need headers!!
I have also ran 13.89@94.86 on drag radials.... but unless we are in negative Density Altitude they will not help my 60s at all.... (they weight too much, you can see by the reduction in my MPH)
So most Hemis on the road may be easy pickens...... better watch out for mine (and others) unless you are consideralby quicker...... Oh I have not mentioned my times on the bottle have I???? to be truthfull... I as of yet have only run a 35 shot on check out runs.... 13.51@98.08 but I will have better times soon....
Hemis respond very well to mods with the following exception.... we are limited by a PCM that is not programmable ( to date ) and speed density.
To all of you doubters.... I have timeslips posted on DTW and many have seen me run at HRP that are members on LS1tech.net truck's site otherwise known at Performancetrucks.net
I will be checking in from time to time for all those who have question or flames... whatever..

I post this thread dude, and my question was very specific. And got very specific answers.
No where I read, cant see somebody calling u a liar.!!!!!
I guess some trucks come out of the factory with a couple more of HP than others, or this guy is terrible skilled in the 1/4 mile driving. Everything is possible.
I really apreciate ur input, Thanks a lot dude and chill, we r all chevy freaks and die hards.
Now that ur friend post how he manage to score those 13th, my question is totally answer!!!!!
No way this new Hemi can see even a blur of my license plate....
Thanks to all again.

Just pissed me off when the guy raised the BS flag to something I was posting which means he thought I was lying. I dont lie I have no reason to, my truck can beat pretty much any HEMI out there but IMO you shouldnt dog another brand just cause of one instance that someone has encountered. Thats all and I do love my Chevy thats why I ahve it.

so he did a bunch of suspension mods, and a few bolt ons and slicks. plus he as better rear gears. I can see that truck comming off the line pretty hard. when you said he only had a few mods i thought you were meaning a programmer and a cai and exhaust. not shocks, weight lightening, light rims, fat tires, battery relocation, and spring clamps. This just goes to show you how a few simple mods can help you even if you only have to remove the spare. You have to remember that most of the people on here dont get to drive all the way to the fastest race track in the world to run their trucks, im not saying that his truck is only this fast because he runs at hrp im just saying that it doesnt hurt either. when i ran my truck at my lockal track i couldnt hook up worth a crap and couldnt get traction at all. This guys truck must be a beast out of the hole and that helps his time a lot cause my first time at the track i ran a 14.8 at like 98 mph with a 2.5 60 ft. I couldnt get traction no matter what i did unless i eased into it which still led to a 2.5 60ft and 99mph. that was before i put in a torque converter and a cai. My trucks race weight is 5300lbs with me in it. I weighed it today on some big truck scales. I dont know how accurate those are but it let me know my truck weighs a butt load. plus my wheel tire combo is stock and my tires are almost 32" tall. I wish i could go to hrp and race. I can see the .4 second drop in et with the shorter tires alone, plus add the programmer, "homemade CAI" and the pmi for the tranny and hell thats over a whole second. I can see this dudes truck running a high thirteen now that i know all of the mods he has done, most of which were free or very inexpensive which are the best ones.
I never once called you a liar or anything bad nor did anyone else, i just had to disagree because of my experiences racing hemis and not knowing all the mods this dude has done to his truck. So dont take it personal that someone dissagrees with you just chill and think of why they dont and give the full list of mods, and dont say with a chip and tmi tranny mod you can see a hemi run hi 13's. I was thinking "no slicks, no cai, no traction mods? No way"

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(badseed91 @ Sep 22 2006, 06:31 PM) </div>It does say in his sig he had tires, and seriously spring clamps? I put them on my truck and saw no change what so ever on my 60s as have many others. I was specifically talking about the two guys up in Waco or whatever with ss and blown tranny dude. They both came off with BS flags saying no way when I said I saw it. Thats contradicting what I said therefore they are calling me a liar. Those who know me off this board know Im a nice easy going guy but one thing I dont tolerate is being called a liar whether directly or indirectly.so he did a bunch of suspension mods, and a few bolt ons and slicks. plus he as better rear gears. I didnt know he had the battery relocated and either way the thing runs damn good for less than 1K in mods it would take more than that for a GM to reach that short of throwing nitrous on it![]()
