i know, drove it all the way to waco, but it was in 3rd gear cuz havin probs with the tranny and it went out in hewitt 5 miles from my house. i can already tell it has power, cant wait to put that power through an 80e without fear of blowing it to pieces.

understandable, but if you're going to do all these mods like you say you are, you might aswell go big or go home.. going home in this case, means spending your money on something you should've saved your money to go BIG on in the first place. buy a beater for the time being. 400 dollar junker won't hurt much.

a built flt 80e can cost anywhere from $1950 to $3250, pending what you want out of it.

well lets just say, whats the difference in a 30000 mile tranny for a while, then when i get more money before i do any other mods i get this one BUILT. again im broke! i know this forum is about speed, but its also about drivability, and right now i have neither. u cant have speed or beefed up parts without drivabilty so i mean an 80e should be good for a WHILE. its not a lil POS 60 its a more heavy duty tranny, and although it'll eat a few horses it will allow me to get to where i need to be first. i drive a 72 chevy pickup every day, without a/c and all kinds of uff wrong with it thats not the prob. the prob is i dont wanna be risking being late to work or school cuz my vehicle failed. im sure EVERYTHING will change eventually, and when i need it beefed up i will save up for it, but with a bone stock LQ4 an 80E will be fine.
