i am converting an 89 c1500 v6 shortbed, shortcab into a ls1 t56.

has anyone done this conversion and ran into the ac compressor problem, did you correct or move the compressor? i am thinking about shaving the motor mount bracket and ac bracket.

i have the motor mount SB adaptor brackets but i am working with the v6 truck, do i need to find the stock frame brackets or will mine work?

does anyone have long tube headers or any headers for that conversion that fit properly?

For the '88-'98 GM full-size pick-ups, as Red just mentioned, Street & Performance offers the Sanden 508 A/C compressor as a kit, which includes two idler pulleys, brackets, & tension adjuster to allow a passenger-side-high relocation. This saves you the hassle of modifing your frame for the stock A/C unit, etc... They also offer thermal coated or non-coated headers that work well with this install. The model headers are called their Type lll, or "G-Body" headers. I used all of the above in my '96 & everything worked well. Gar
