Do you really need a double overdrive? The 4L65E will give you a good overdrive ratio. The only reason for a double overdrive would be if you were running 4.88 or greater gears.

I'm not sure of the gear ratios for the 4l65e, but the 4l60e has a very steep first gear (3.06) and a huge drop off into second (1.63).
