Ok dudes, here,s one to remember.
Last night I was fully prepared for a couple of EVO MR that was supposed to appear on our usually street course.
They never appeared, just the same white Subie that don’t want to race cause he knows how that song goes.
Anyway, to my surprise, the 454SS which is suppose to be the Fasted truck around here appears. His story is that he was out cause the vortech supercharger blew off some parts inside and he send for a warranty exchange. So he was ONLY with his 500+HP and NOS shot of 250HP. In his term he was on “low power mode”
I told him I want to race him, and he told me it was fine, but that he was going to run w/o NOS. I was piss on that attitude, so I told him I’ll run w/o NOS too. He said, lets race and I’ll see. Go with all your weapons he told me. By now I was so piss of on that attitude, but just trying to calm down for making a good launch. I said to myself what the heak, I’ll give him everything, if he loose, will only have his mouth to back him up to say he was w/o NOS.
We line up, I was on 900PSI with the heater on, was calmly piss off. Did everything right. Stall good, nice launch. As soon as I grip I let the NOS on. The first 100mts I pull him with 2+ cars length. Then he had to opened his NOS and started reaching me. At the end of the ¼ mile we pass nose to nose. People said he won me with the bumper. I agreed. Did everything neat. Just wasn’t good enough. Maybe it’s the looser hope, but my truck is a 5.3L (323) and a NOS plume of 125NOS shot. DAvid and Goliat!!!!!
I told him to race again and he said another time. A friend of his told me that next time he races me will be on charger and NOS. No sweat. Hopefully I’ll be on STS and NOS. Allen doesn’t forget me. These scars only give me the will to make things happen faster.
