Hey everyone,
Just signed up and looking forward to any advice. I have a 2000 5.3L w/ a Nelson Tune and thinking about adding headers soon. I would prefer to keep the cats and not have to move any O2 sensors. Any recommendations?

Welcome. Yeah, Austin probably has visual and sniffer tests like we do up here in DFW. First time they catch you w/o cats they fine the hell out of you. You can pass the tests but if they find you don't have your cats you can kiss a chunk of change goodbye.

Yep, what Red said. Georgetown here, and I went with Doug Thorley headers (mid length) so I could keep the cats too.

Welcome.

Welcome aboard! There are several of us from Austin around here.

I love my TOG headers, but would have to recommend the pacesetters if I was going to do it again. They will cost you, but I think they would be worth it.
No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106
