First question, does the input shaft of the transmission have a pilot on the end of it about 1/2" in diameter? If so, that's a totally different transmission than the V8 trucks use. The LSx type engines use a 300mm input shaft that has nothing but spline at the end of the shaft. To use the old style transmission and TC you will need a spacer and bolts for the end of the crankshaft if you have the input with the pilot. You can redrill or slot the existing holes in the flywheel to match the proper bolt hole pattern.

i think i'm just gonna have to get a flywheel now. like a stock 5.3 flywheel ive been told should work.

I personally recomend a Fuddle converter but since the demand is high for them at the moment it may take a month to get one... I would get a stock verter off of a 5.3 and a stock flexplate install these and call it a day then order a fuddle and in a month change it out... How are the engine mounts coming?

not good on the engine mounts ima just buy some and say fuck it haha. im tired of not having the truck so ima just pour money into it like a bitch, and if i cant get it ill pay someone to deal with it. flywheels getting ordered monday, and still have to figure out the fuel lines. if i can just get it in the damn truck and running without any more problems i won't bitch. ac lines are still a problem too but the most immediate thing is motor mounts since im getting the whole flywheel problem fixed. aparently the flywheel that came on the lq4 is for a 4l80e and thats why it isnt matching my stock 4l60e TC. So we'll see what happens!

You can tell if it's for the 80e by the number of bolts holes. 80e has 6 bolts to hold it on and the 60e only has 3.

If you don't need that flywheel, ship it up here to me so I can add it to my 4L80E trans swap collection. Maybe one day I'll do something with it.
