If I remember correctly...the subject of plastic vs. aluminum has been researched before and there were very little differences in intake temps. Yes at idle the aluminum is going to be warmer but as soon as you are under way the temps come down. I think this was even on the Brute Force website is where I remember reading it. The logistics of it is that on the road the incoming charge is not in the intake long enough to be heated by the surrounding metal. They measured the intake charge during development w/ a probe mounted inside the tubes (alum. and plastic)...I can log mine and if I let it sit in a driveway or at a stop sign the temps will rise but as soon as I get a couple of miles down the road the IAT is back to ambient.
