Man I don't know where you guys are racing at but up here where I'm from they absolutely positively do not add your reaction time to your E.T. If I run a 8.00 1/8 mile it doesn't matter if I sit at the light for a solid minute my E.T. will still be an 8.00 on my time slip, competition run or time only. Granted I will probably lose the race due to the fact that I had a 1 min. reaction time (unless my competitor has an even slower reaction). In actuallity it took me 1 min. and 8.00 sec. from the time the green light came on to when I crossed the timing traps, but my E.T. is still going to be 8.00. Reaction time is very crucial to winning a race but they do not add it to your E.T. on the time slip or anywhere else. Like I said before the timer doesn't start until you break the staging beams.

This will answer my question and clear things up on how you're explaining it,

Question:

We both are bracket racing
Your dial in time: 13.00
Your actual run: 13.00
Your reaction time: .503 (based on a perfect .500 light)

My dial in time: 13.00
My actual run : 13.00
My reaction time: .500

Who wins the bracket race?

thanks,
allen
