Aight got started yesterday. We got the LQ9 taken apart, freshened up with all new gaskets, custom comp cam in, springs/pushrods changed and now pretty much back together and ready to go in. On the truck we got everything unplugged/unbolted and the 350 is ready to come out. Only snag so far is summit sent me the wrong ud pulley. Ordered the correct one this morning. I'll upload some pics when I get to an area with better service

I'm curious to see how that cam performs. I opted to hold off on the cam until I'm able to get all the parts needed to build a 408 stroker ($6K). Will you be tuning it on the dyno?

So far so good....Saturday and Sunday we got the old 350 out, and the LQ9 in. Took a little fighting to get it in and lined up but went in fairly easy. We started getting the wiring harness in place and hooked up and stopped there today. Need to swap the gas peddle, hook up the ls radiator/LS electric fans, overflow tank, swap out the fuel pump, bolt up the longtubes, and a bunch of random shit like bolt up the starter etc. I won't have a ton of time this week so we'll prob be firing it up next week.

I had Nelson do my tune and they did an awesome job. Very helpful especially considering I was able to go in there because I live about 20 minutes away. My swap wasn't even complete because I only had two gauges working (oil/temp) and the harness looked like a pile of spaghetti but they were super patient and got me dialed in. Now that my drivability is no longer in question, I can proceed to tidy up my harness and get my gauges working.
Haha yeah fortunately my two buddies that are helping me have both done a LS swap in an obs in the last year so they both had suggestions of things they wished they had done different and such. My buddy ryan was the first to do the swap and his harness is whacked up pretty good. That will be the next chore is cleaning up his harness
