99 5.3 into 88 4x4

Hello, i was referred to this site for help.

I have an 88 chevy 4x4 witha 350TBI and a 4 speed tranny. I also have a 5.3 vortec outa a 99 chevy truck, complete from pan to injectors and coils and such, but no computer or wiring. I have been told this is a very time/money consuming project. I was hoping someone could help me out... Does anyone make a kit to do this conversion? IS it even worth doing? Im not worried about my 4x4 workin..i can figure that all out later. i just wanna be able to hop in it and start it up and take off. so please, if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

Get engine adapter mounts from www.hotrodlane.cc or Ebay or Hooker. Get a wiring harness and PCM programmed by Allen Nelson at www.NelsonPerformance.com. Get an automatic transmission adapter ring and bolts from GMPerformanceParts.com or www.hotrodlane.cc . You'll need an air cleaner.
