    Transfer Case Choice

I'm thinking of going with a late NP 246 transfer case in my L94 swap, but I'm wondering if there is any compelling reason to go with one of the newer transfer cases? (2008+) Is it even possible/reasonable to use one these in a swap into a 1992 rig? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

OKay, not much experience here, so I'll post what my research has shown. Seems like the newer 2007+ transfer cases are only minor improvements--if that--over the NP246. Plus, swapping the newer cases into older rigs seems to be much more difficult. The 246 uses onboard sensors whereas the newer cases use sensors and computer connections from the donor chassis. Anyways, if anyone knows different please post up!
