    Post ECSB 4.3 to 5.3 Swap

    This is my 4.3 to 5.3 swap/mild build

    2003 ecsb silverado 4.3L 2wd 207,xxx miles $2200
    1999 sclb silverado 5.3L 4wd totaled rust bucket with cooked trans. 138,xxx miles $600

    Parts I've Acquired so far:
    Comp 220/220 .581/.581 .112lsa cam
    3200 stall convertor from Circle D
    Precision Race Components .625" Single Beehive valve springs
    Texas Speed & Performance 7.40 Chromoly push rods
    Egr delete kit
    Tow Max Trans temp gauge
    Tru Cool Trans cooler
    CAI
    Shorty Headers
    3.73 Gears
    Vette Servo
    Trans go HD-2 shift kit
    E fans

    Coming soon:
    Nelson Performance Mail Order tune (Heard nothing but great reviews)
    Pacesetter long tubes
    Custom 2.5" dual exhaust with X pipe (not sure on muffler if any)

    After selling the front clip off the truck, finally getting to pulling the motor.

    The truck it'll all be going into, (needs to be de-chromed,a little altitude adjustment and some new shoes i know)

    after the cam & valve spring install, motor still looking rough.



    Cleaned up and painted



    had some down time at work so i got rid off the dumb looking chrome grill and fender flare/trim? heres some pics of the grill.

    Ok, so its been awhile since ive be on here heres some progress so far..

    old and worn 4.3 is out


    ran into some problems with the motor mounts passenger side v8 4x4 mounts working perfectly but the diver side was way off so ended up having to make an adapter plate out of 1/2 steel to make the 2wd V6 mounts work


    "These are not the bolts i used, they were just for mock up"


    heres the engine sitting on the new mounts


    intake and front drive assembly on (Dirty)


    every thing in and plumbed up still waiting on the harness..


    3" exhaust with dynomax race bullet no cats..


    trans cooler in and mouted


    trans temp gauge and fan switch


    finally got my harness back from current performance they repinned to work with my 03 fuse block.


    just received my tuned PCM from nelson
