my dad use-to road race motorcycles in the late 70's and early 80's...he had a pretty cool idea that he said he got from the old dragsters of the time...
he built this can, and ran fuel line from his gas tank, into this can, and it was wound up like a coil, then to his carbuerator. inside of this can he put dry ice. the principle is that he made the fuel so cold, which made it really dense and made the bike run a lot better..either i havent been looking, or i havent seen this recently. he got to race with it a couple of times, but the first time he used it, he didnt remember that it made his bike use about twice as much fuel, so he pitted, got fuel and continued racing. he ended up wining the race, but was then disqualified for not having a fire extinguiser at his pit stop.... i always thought it was a cool idea but havent ever done it to anything...maybe one of yo guys will experiment..later

Ya that is an old trick. Been around for a while like you said. I think you can still buy them for cars and trucks.

Yeah, guys are running CO2 kits to do pretty much the same thing, it blows ice cold air into the intake to chill the charge.

My buddy used to do that with his firehawk at the track. i think he just threw a bag of ice on top of the fuel line or something like that.
