As for the speedo buffer dealeo, I won't have my truck back at the house for a few more days. When get it back, I will take a pic of what I did. Your truck should have a clear/white 2-row connector that the original PCM hooked into under the glove box. I want to say there is a green/white wire in that connector, which is the VSS wire. I tapped into that, and tied the two wire together at the buffer connector. I tapped in that way in order to make my harness removable, just like the factory since I am developing in a plug and play kit.
