    It's define toy easier to do without The rest of the truck in the way lol if you got the cash of say definitely do it now plus that's one less retune you will have to get

    Well more head way got motor all painted up and got a complete cam kit thanks 454ss it is the vinci trucker with pushrods and springs. I am going to nitrous this 5.3 will I need to get bigger injectors with the bottle and a cam. Can I use the 8.1 injectors or flex fuel I have the stock truck intake and stock rails. I would rather not buy new injectors until this coming winter when this thing gets boosted.

    Well I got the engine all mounted and hooked up drop spindles installed. The last pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together I got a PSI harness coming and ordered a tune from Nelson. I am hoping the truck feels strong with the 5.3 cam and 3200 stall with the 4.11 gears. I have been waiting for the paint shop to finish my box anyone doing this I recommend painting or swap separately. It seems like so much when there is nothing but a cab on a frame in your garage. Thanks everyone and if anything pops up I will keep you updated. I will get some pics on here soon I don't know how to post them with my phone. I have to wait till I get on the home computer.

    Well got all the parts installed truck runs very good thanks for the tune Nelson. I will keep everyone posted. waiting to trailer it to the exhaust shop Wednesday or Friday and get exhaust on it open manifolds tough to listen for anything. I got all my factory gauges working oil pressure plugged right Into ls sensor works and bought the coolant temp sensor adaptor from a vendor and screwed factory on in place. Used factory throttle cable bracket off 98 vortec including both cables and cruise box I hope it all works. Glass is getting installed Tuesday. Hope to drive it friday can't wait.

    If you use a wet nitrous kit you won't need bigger injectors. If you use a dry kit you will. With the cam your stock injectors will be maxed out.
