Took the heads off and cleaned some more.

And my pile of stuff in a corner of my work bay.

Still deciding on if I want to do a cam as I am already this far and now would be the perfect time to do it. Next I need to order all the gaskets to put this back together.

This all began when I pulled the intake to start the wiring and hide it under the intake and make it a nice neat & clean install. I am REALLY glad I pulled it. I never would have seen all that needed attention. The intake gaskets were dry rotted and cracked to hell causing water to leak in from when I hosed it down. Aside form the fuel pressure regulator dumping fuel up the vacuum line and straight into the intake, and filling the oil pan with gas, making it run rough and eventually not start I can only imagine that the cracked gaskets werent helping.

Will my 98 trans, 2WD 60E, mount up to this AWD 6.0? I have been thinking about that. I have read so many swaps and there A LOT of mixed answers. I have heard you just swap over the 98 flex plate to the LS. My LS has the extended crank.

If I can use it then I will wait till I break it to swap over the 65E.

Anyone need and AWD transfer case? I have one for sale.

Well I cleaned up some aluminum parts in the parts cleaner tank today and painted the valve covers. No pics though. I forgot all about taking some. I will get some and post em up tomorrow.

I still need to paint the timing cover a start ordering some parts such as a complete gasket kit, timing set, front and rear seals, and a cam.

    What cam do ya'll recommend?

I am looking at the TTR-220 or a Comp Cam XFI Xtreme Truck.

I want this thing to be streetable as it is my DD and I want to be able to take it to the track and play every once in awhile.

    Primed and painted the block.

Even though it wont be seen, I am gonna highlight the 6.0L on the front of the block.
