Going to the strip tonight! Finally, this will be the first run on my own tuning so I'm kinda nervous. Will also be the first runs on my new tranny and the 2500 stall. I'll post the times up when I get back, they will only be 1000' times since Arkansas is too gay and doesnt have a 1/4 mi track!

Good luck! Listen for ping and pull out if you hear it. Definitely run the scanner each pass and try to keep the 02 readings close to 12.0 and 12.5 at the leanest. Lean actually makes power but burns up parts and leads to detonation.

oh i almost forgot, I have a video of me eating up the riceburner! Brings a smile to my face every time I watch it.

Hey Red, I logged all those things like you said, AFR stayed in the 12.7-12.9 range and my max timing is 29* at max hp. I tried to add 1* and I got detonation, so I might richen it up by .1 of what I am running now so I have a little cushion. MY final MPH is actually lower than before the stall and I still beat my old time of 13.27 with the cam!

That's pretty aggressive timing. An LS1 won't normally hold up to more than about 23* of timing before detonation occurs. I guess that's because we have about 10.5:1 compression vs whatever the 5.3Ls have. Got some good times there for an extended cab truck. You sure would dust me bad!

Yeah 5.3 runs 9.5:1 compression. I am pushing 26-27* through max torque, that has seemed to help how hard it pulls. It's really hard to judge what I would be running on 1/4mi track since this is only 1000'.
