Ok guys got it figured out. With the vette style regulator in the fuel rail I have to swap the pressure and retun for it to work correctly. I was going by the directions that were sent with it but that's ok, we got it figured out. As far as the header goes, I have custom Taylor wires with a 45 degree boots. I can barely get them on since the tip of the spark plug is about 1/2" from the header tube. I talked with S&P and they're gonna build another set. At least these guys stand behind their stuff as I said before. Thanks for the help.

Nope, I don't see it.... Please don't construe this as an attack... I'm just having fun here......

If he has a regulator on the fuel rail he should not be using the later model vette regulator/filter......pressurizing the return side is just goofy......
He never made it clear if he was using the vette combo regulator/filter in conjunction with a rail mounted regulator..... inquiring minds......

NITROUS has the S&P modded early style fuel rail that has a return line. He said the instructions were incorrect from S&P and he had the hoses reversed. The fuel feed comes from the pump into the rail and then the regulator bleeds off excess pressure back to the tank, as it should. The way it was plumbed, pressure would hit the regulator and go nowhere. Even if it made it past the reg from the feed side, the bled off fuel would just run straight back to the tank without resistance.

Why would you want to regulate fuel pressure on the return line?
[/b]
As long as you maintain the fuel pressure you can regulate it almost anywhere. The return just bleeds off the extra unused fuel to maintain a constant pressure.

The internally regulated Corvette fuel filter we run does the same thing as the regulator being on the return line. The return side of the fuel filter has a regulator spring that bleeds off any pressure greater than 58lbs. The older style fuel rails have the advantage of cooler fuel since it's always circulating but if you're in all out performance mode you probably won't notice the difference since the pump will be working it's butt off trying to keep up.

OK I think I understand now. The fuel system makes a complete circuit so regardless where you bleed off the excess pressure the entire system will not be allowed to exceed the pressure set by the regulator. Wow the tard can actually be taught!

Is it just me or is there always some small problem with S&P headers? For what they cost this shouldnt happen. Makes me happy I didnt go that route. Do they flow that much better than my 98 manifolds?

Hey 86 Silv...

Find ME a set of 98 Manifolds! I could use a set of block-hugging manifolds. The 6.0L manifolds should work, but definitely custom exhaust.
