Thread: Newbie 93 Sierra

  1. #1
    Hey folks!

I just learned of this website today and had to check it out. I just finished a 4.8L swap into my 1993 SCLB 2WD Sierra. I have to set my site up with some pics, but the project is up an driving, just have some wiring bits to clean up. The swap has 1000 miles on it now, and I am very happy. Compared to the smokey 4.3L TBI that was in there, this truck is a rocket, and I already have towed a 4200# Caprice on a car trailer with it.

I adapted the 2001 engine harness into my truck, designed and fabbed my own engine brackets, and fit a stock 2004 Silverado exhaust system in. I am in the process of having the motor mount brackets laser cut and will be offering them up for sale soon, as well as a 95% plug and play adapter harness with two/haul functionality as well. Fuel lines too!

I am looking for a 4WD 88-95 truck to fit up a 2002 4wd Sierra 5.3L powertrain. If anybody in the Motown area wants to be a guinea pig, drop me a line!

If you have any questions, heck the swap is FRESH in my head, so I am happy to offer any advice as well.

    LATER!!
    Mike
