Cheap is a relative term. Looking at used motor. Free to me truck. I know I gotta pay for certain items. Can springs lifters position gears transfer stall and some chassis work. Looking at a 10k budget. Just not gonna b super fancy just want it faster than my 01 reg cab. I want 11's on spray or boost and 12's on motor.

Sounds like you have big plans, just so you don't get in over your head I'd do the swap and get it running first before you start modding it.

If you need a hand shoot me a pm I'm in South Austin and have done a few swaps and am currently putting one in a 2 door Tahoe.

Thanks Bro, I am a long time member, name has changed a few times, I had a fully bolted 01 rcsb 5.3 that I sold to help support the wife and new kid. Ill be moving up towards Abilene soon so I will not be in the area. Your right though i plan on getting the truck rolling first then start the suspension mods. I gotta have a cushy ride for my f'd up back and i love the slammed look. The truck is minus motor and trans now so I plan on blasting the frame and getting it clean before i drop the new motor in. Once it is driving ill do the suspension and then mod the motor with a big cam etc etc. Plan on doing the truck in flat black no frills just light and fast.
