    these are what i got: SPR-17S ALPINE 6.5" TYPE R COMPONENT SPEAKERS SPR17S

    Type-R 6-1/2" 2-way Component System
    Power Handling:
    Peak: 660 watts per set / 330 watts each side
    RMS: 220 watts per set / 110 watts each side
    Impedance: 4 ohms
    Hybrid layered-pulp woofer with rubber surround
    1" Textile ring-dome tweeter
    External crossovers — 12 dB/octave (high -pass) and 6 dB/octave (low-pass) crossover points
    Frequency response: 65 Hz - 27 kHz
    Sensitivity: 87 dB
    Top-mount depth: 2-5/16"
    Built 2 Run! 6XX HP/ 6XX TQ

    These are the same ones i got n i love em. Got a alpine 55 x 4 Watt rms running them and they will make ur ears bleed at half volume.


    4.8, TSP 220, 6L90 swap, 3400 Stall, 4.10s w/30" drag radial and T76 @ 16lbs.

    Not to hijack Ray, but what do people usually go with to replace with stock speakers with something other than components? In case they dont want to use an amp to power the speakers.

    good old 6.5" coaxials in front doors (disconnect factory tweeters for better sound). 4x6 rear in reg cabs and extended cabs, 6.5" in rear doors as well for crew cabs. This info is for 99-06 gm trucks. 07+ have some funky mounting plastics built into the speakers. You can either buy adapters or just cut the original speaker out.
