I may try to see if a -12AN 180 deg fitting will fit with adapters into the water pump. That would work out pretty nice to not have any hose. I eventually plan to install a Vintage Air system in the truck, which will give me a heater core to plumb into. I'll probably switch over to a Wegner accessory drive system then too though.

Yeah, that's my 9 yr old son starting it. He loves anything on wheels. He was pretty excited to get to start it.

I hadn't touched the carb at all in that vid other then setting the idle up enough to keep it running. I set the idle mixture and idle speed a little better later. The idle smoothed out some, which had me worried at first considering the cam specs, then I got in and put it in gear. She really starts singing when in gear!! I'll try to get another idle vid soon when I have someone other than a 9 yr old to help.

have you tried opening the crossover pipe between the heads and leave it open until a solid stream of water comes out of it? There was another person on here that had put his head gaskets on wrong and caused an overheating issue, must have had one upside down.

Got the headers hooked up to the exhaust Wednesday. I'll try to get a better vid soon. It's rained the past 3 days here. There's alot of background noise in this video so you will have to turn up the volume to hear the exhaust. These Magnaflows are really quiet, especially with the x-pipe.

I think I have my coolant flow issue resolved. A guy on LS1Tech said he had to fill his engine through the top neck of the water pump becasue the water won't cavitate into the engine just from the radiator. I still don't have my alternator wired, and I think the battery is getting weak, so when I get the alternator wired, I can start testing, tuning, working out bugs, then make final touch-ups and such. At least now I can hear what I'm doing when I work on it now.

New vid from last night. Sorry about the foggy look. I took the camera out of the nice cool house outside into the muggy, humid air, and the lens fogged up.

Not sure why my power steering pump is whining like that. It's full of fluid.

Thanks, guys. Here's some semi-finished pics. I still need to reroute some plumbing, and do some clean up and touch up, but this is pretty close to finished.

beautiful truck and great work on the truck. How have you been enjoying it since the swap? Do you get descent gas mileage?

Thanks! I've been thoroughly enjoying it!! LOL I really don't know how the fuel mileage is. I just got the 4.11 gears installed a couple months ago, and haven't had it on the highway enough to tell. The other problem is I can't seem to keep my foot out of it. >
