    Beautiful work!!!

I have a suggestion for the power steering lines, I know you don't want to spend the money on the AN stuff BUT It's cheaper than you think!! Today I just bought from Summit Racing everything for my power steering lines, all the fittings and 6ft of 2500psi braided line all for $75.00 which I think is cheap and it looks good too. Just a suggestion??

Now the steam line would cost a pretty penny I agree, I had to buy a 90 degree AN swivel today cost me $30.00 for the one fitting and yeah It sucks!!!

Just one question, did you use the Painless Wiring Powerbraid on your wireloom?? Reason I ask Is because I used it before and it's great but costly, Summit has there brand of it out for 1/3 the cost and it's just as good!!!

I may look into the AN stuff for the power steering later. I don't mind paying $75-80 for that becasue it's made specifically for the higher pressures of power steering. It's just the AN stuff for the steam lines will cost me almost $80!! That's even for the cheaper Jeg's brand fittings. If I go with name brand stuff like Russell or Earl's, it's likely to cost almost $100!!!

The wire loom is a knock-off of the Painless stuff. I get it at a speed shop in Knoxville, and yeah, it's alot cheaper than the Painless powerbraid.

Update with good and bad news.

I fired her up last night. It was late and I wasn't able to get a video. Sorry. Man, does she have a rowdy idle, too!! With the open headers, she sounds MEAN!!!!

I have an issue, though. It sounds like something is rubbing or hitting somwhere. There's a grinding noise, mostly noticeable when I shut it off or rev it up a little. The trans is bolted up, but the torque converter is not. At first, I thought the converter had vibrated against the flexplate and that was causing the noise, but the converter is still sitting snug against the trans. I looked for anything that may be rubbing or hitting anywhere, but there's nothing visible. I'm thinking maybe the starter could be the culprit. It may not be fully disengaging.

    Anybody have any ideas?

Bolt up the converter before you trash the pump on the trans... If you haven't already.

How would it trash the pump if the converters not hooked up? The converter isn't hitting the flexplate like I thought it might have been. I still don't plan to run it much more like it sits anyway. I still need to bend trans cooler lines, install a trans dipstick, and fill it with fluid anyway.

New upper and lower hoses, belt, trans lines, Lokar trans dipstick, temporary steam line, and other tidbits installed. Trans fluid and coolant put in. Reached in, turned they key to "ON" position, let the fuel pump prime, turned the key with eager anticipation............"click"................Bat tery is dead!!!!!!!

It's hotter than #$&* outside with high humidity today, and I'm sweating like a.............well I'm sweating pretty bad, so I hooked up the charger and came inside for a little while to cool off while the battery charges. Figured I would post a quick update since I'm inside.
